The Fedora Design Team has for the default wallpaper and artwork for Fedora 19.
The codename for Fedora 19 is Schrödinger’s Cat, and the Design Team usually tries to make the default artwork and wallpaper tie into the codename somehow.
Sadly, however, cute pictures of cats in boxes do not make good *DEFAULT* wallpapers.
So leave a comment here with your ideas / brainstorms / links to images for how to make a default wallpaper that ties into the codename!

I have this idea of a green wisp/haze representing the poison or radioactivity, and maybe translucent curved lines representing the cat’s whiskers. Or, a textured background that looks like cat fur and with the green haze overlaid.
About the idea… I think the linux is been used all over the world.. And world consists of many different cultures. Instead of giving just one wall paper why dont u guys try giving a bunch of 5 wall papers each representing different culture of world with some information associated with it .. not on wall paper but by some other mean. This way people would come to know about others cultures and different cultures would come close to each other…
Schrödinger’s Cat, is a main thought experiment in Quantum mechanics. So Quantum mechanical particle system, path of particles in a particle accelerator, random wave system with one or more peaks. are best examples of ideas. No Cats or Boxes They are not directly relating the idea of experiment.

In my earlier comment I mentioned about different cultures we can also put something like famous alphabets, their native dressing style. Further more if a country have more than one culture(like India) then we can try to show as many culture as possible with a few number of wallpapers. The wallpapers may look like a painting..
